C4I Transmission Support Lead

Key Role:

Perform telecommunications network analysis, design, development, integration, fielding, and maintenance for an open systems architecture implementation. Perform analysis requiring knowledge of command, control, communications, computers, intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance (C4ISR) systems and technology. Perform engineering studies to determine requirements, long-range engineering plans, and designs of telecommunication systems. Support network transmission, transport, radio frequency (RF) transmission, full motion video (FMV) distribution, satellite communications (SATCOM), communications on-the move (COTM), and SD-WAN technology, as necessary. Plan and assign personnel for given projects or tasks. Recommend and implement changes in process or procedures. Operate with substantial latitude for un-reviewed action or decision. 

Basic Qualifications:

-8+ years of experience with developing and integrating network transmission capabilities across air, land, sea, and space platforms

-Experience with problem identification, analysis, development of material solutions, test and evaluation, integration, including fielding, and sustainment of COTS and GOTS C4ISR capabilities

-Experience with commercial Ku- and Wideband Gapfiller Ka-band services and terminals

-Experience with performing in-depth studies, including AoA, trades, and network architecture studies

-Knowledge of C4ISR systems, LOS and BLOS RF transmissions, handheld and man-pack radios, RF data links, full motion video distribution systems, military and commercial satellite architectures, and satellite earth terminals

-Ability to manage projects that integrate new capability into the existing government architectures

-Ability to author documentation related to architecture, including designing, integration, testing, and sustainment

-TS/SCI clearance

-BA or BS degree

Additional Qualifications:

-Experience with sustaining fielded capability using configuration management and life cycle sustainment processes

-Experience in testing with interoperability test agencies

-Experience with Android Tactical Assault Kit (ATAK) and WinTAK devices and applications

-Experience with Unified Video Dissemination Service (UVDS)

-Knowledge of airborne, maritime, and ground vehicular communications on-the move (COTM) capability, near space vehicles, and software defined radio technology

-Knowledge of latest trends in network transport capability and SD-WAN technology

-Ability to apply innovative methods and pre-planned product improvements, when modifying and integrating COTS communications capabilities for government use

-Ability to manage O&M, troubleshooting, and repair of supported systems
