CAD Engineer, Mid

Key Role:

Design, analyze, and develop geo-spatial solutions and product specifications for infrastructure, hydrographic, and physiographic features for global geo-spatial images and vector products. Perform geographic information systems (GIS) analyses on natural resources data. Plan, design, develop, document, and analyze spatial and relational databases. Apply software to manage spatial and related tabular data and build databases by capturing map information with a coordinate digitizer. Produce computer map products depicting contents of databases and locate sources of GIS data. Provide solutions to a variety of technical problems of moderate scope and complexity. Contribute to the completion of milestones associated with specific projects.


Basic Qualifications:

-5 years of experience with managing and developing Computer-Aided Design (CAD) drawings, as-builts, utility maintenance drawings, and maps

-Experience with using Environmental Systems Research Institute (ESRI) and ArcGIS software

-Experience with working in a team environment to ensure appropriate updates are made to facilities’ GIS database

-Experience with Microsoft Office software, including Outlook, Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, and SharePoint

-Ability to maintain data used to create and update field wide maps and facilities data

-Ability to obtain a security clearance

-HS diploma or GED


Additional Qualifications:

-Experience with DoD agencies, including the Marine Corps preferred
-Ability to develop project status reports and business correspondence, including memos, letters, e-mail, spreadsheets, slides, and various presentations when needed

-Secret clearance preferred

-BA or BS degree preferred
