Key Role:
Support the media services team as a cartographer for a a DHS client. Provide a full range of website, graphics, printing, audio, video, or other communications media support to I&A and other stakeholders throughout the DHS client's enterprise. Provide cartographic support and content on classified and unclassified intelligence products on behalf of the client. Meet with intelligence analysts to gather requirements and build custom maps using ESRI ArcMap 10.2 or above while applying agency cartographic standards and layouts for finished map development in Adobe Illustrator. Identify, examine, and process raw data, trends, analysis, and assessments to aggregate disparate information, leverage both analytic and visualization tools, and design and deliver infographics, including brochures, handouts, presentations, posters, guides, workbooks, catalogs, and signage across a range of media platforms.

Basic Qualifications:

-5+ years of experience with cartography

-3+ years of experience with graphics design

-Experience with creating maps and graphics for intelligence products in the intelligence community (IC)

-Experience with Microsoft Office Suite

-Experience with Adobe Creative Cloud software, including Illustrator, InDesign, and Photoshop, including importing and modifying maps in these tools

-Ability to report to the client site location in Washington, DC

-Active TS/SCI clearance required
-BA or BS degree

Additional Qualifications:

-Experience with Google Earth and Avenza Map Publisher

-Experience with creating interactive maps using JavaScript, D3, Highmaps, and Leaflet

-Experience with Adobe Animate or other animation applications

-Experience with creating interactive forms
