Certified Auditor, Lead

Key Role:

Support a team in the assessment of financial systems' compliance with Financial Improvement and Audit Readiness (FIAR), including financial improvement and audit requirements to ensure compliance and analyze internal control procedures, including examine records, reports, operating practices, and documentation. Verify assets and liabilities by comparing items to documentation, completing audit paperwork, and documenting audit tests and findings. Appraise the adequacy of internal control systems by completing audit questionnaires, including recommending enhancements to policies and procedures. Translate audit findings by preparing reports and discussing findings with auditees. Comply with FIAR requirements by studying existing and new security legislation, including recommending enforcement and adherence to requirements and advising management on needed actions. Prepare special audit and control reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing operating information and trends. Audit financial, control, operating or other records and data to determine the efficiency and effectiveness of systems.


Basic Qualifications:

-12+ years of experience with accounting and financial management

-3+ years of experience with increasing responsibilities as a team leader or first level supervisor

-Experience with FIAR requirements

-Knowledge of logistics procedures and processes for financial management

-Ability to use the Microsoft Office Suite of tools and applications

-BA or BS degree in Finance or Accounting 

-Government Auditing Professional (CGAP), Management Accountant (CMA), Internal Auditor (CIA) or Control Self-Assessment (CCSA) certification

-Possession of excellent interpersonal and client-facing consulting skills

-Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills
