Chemical Sensor System Engineer

Key Role:

Serve as systems engineering lead overseeing chemical sensing systems development and integration at the individual sensor and network levels. Work with the government program manager and performer teams to identify and deploy novel approaches to systems integration, fielding, and data fusion. Oversee integration, coordination, and data fusion of the resulting multi–modality sensor network. Coordinate multiple programs, serving as liaison among government stakeholders, performer teams, and government teams to set required local and network processing and communication specification metrics. Take ownership of the timeline and metrics for highly coordinated, schedule slip–intolerant field campaigns. Participate in project meetings and maintain responsibility directly to the client for program project technical and analytical guidance. Ensure adherence to quality standards, review project deliverables, and recommend and act to direct the analysis and solutions of problems.

Basic Qualifications:

-Experience with technical project management or operations research or planning

-Experience with day–to–day project management and system engineering for system–of–systems

-Knowledge of Cloud computing and large–scale data analytics

-Knowledge of FPGA programming and systems integration

-Knowledge of chemical and explosives sensors or remote sensing

-Knowledge of system deployment logistics with cities, state and locals, and federal entities

-Ability to commute to Arlington, VA

-Ability to obtain a security clearance

-MA or MS degree in Systems Engineer or EE and 8+ years of experience with technical project management

Additional Qualifications:

-Experience with defense research and development a plus

-PhD degree in Systems Engineer, EE, or a related field preferred
