Chemist/Analyst, Junior

Key Role:

Provide technical assistance on a broad range of issues related to environmental sampling, laboratory testing, and data quality. Leverage technical expertise in environmental sampling and testing for a wide range of federal regulatory programs including: Clean Water Act (CWA), Safe Drinking Water Act (SDWA), Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA), and Comprehensive Environmental Response, Compensation and Liability Act (CERCLA). Provide support in the area of environmental laboratory oversight.


Basic Qualifications:

-1+ years of experience with conducting research to develop or improve analytical techniques, methodologies, and procedures and investigating the application of instruments in analysis

-Knowledge of environmental chemistry

-Active Secret clearance

-BS degree in Chemistry


Additional Qualifications:

-Experience with conducting laboratory assessments of quality systems and chemical testing systems 

-Experience with environmental data validation, project management, and the Uniform Federal Policy for Quality Assurance Project Plans

-Knowledge of ISO 17025:2005, laboratory operations, testing methodologies, and regulatory compliance


Clearance:
