Chemistry Consultant

Key Role:

Serve as an expert in multiple chemistry disciplines, including physical, organic, inorganic, and analytics. Act as a technical consultant to a government research and development client. Work with world-class scientists in driving forward groundbreaking research efforts that either develop applications for novel chemicals, or exploit cutting-edge chemistry for new applications. Maintain and leverage technical expertise and relationships in serving clients. Provide strategic assessments of new technologies in support of senior decision-makers, including conducting background research in evaluating the feasibility, and the defense applications of new technological concepts. Produce and present findings and recommendations to a team of colleagues and clients, assist with technical program management and program development, and brief materials out for government R&D efforts.

Basic Qualifications:

-2+ years of experience with research related to Chemistry or Chemical Engineering

-2+ years of experience with authoring technical papers, reports, or program plans for technical and non-technical audiences

-Ability to commute to Arlington, VA

-Ability to obtain a security clearance

-PhD degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or Biochemistry

Additional Qualifications:

-2+ years of experience as part of a team that either applied novel chemistry to production processes or transitioned chemical substances to applications

-Experience with defense research and development

-Knowledge of multiple chemistry disciplines

-Possession of excellent client service skills
