Chief Data Scientist, Senior Manager

Key Role:
Work as a chief data scientist and senior manager focused on the services and agencies in the DoD, including providing leadership and oversight in key investment areas and applying technical and analytical expertise to exploring and examining data from multiple disparate sources with the goal of discovering patterns and previously hidden insights that can provide a competitive advantage or address a pressing business problem. Exhibit expertise in computer science, software development, and the latest technologies to analyze and implement analysis infrastructure and tools, analytic workflow processes, and complex data visualizations. Apply expertise in technical and consulting to the application of artificial intelligence (AI), data science, and advanced data analytics. Build functional teams and new capabilities and drive new revenue growth, including driving engagements across government-focused and other client spaces. Maintain responsibility for planning and managing company resources to execute development project or project components from design phase through implementation. Work as a leader to attract, develop, mentor and retain talent and enhance the diversity of the firm.

Basic Qualifications:
-7+ years of experience with analytics, data science, data engineering, and machine learning, including technical project and team leadership roles
-5+ years of experience with business development, client relationship management, and team leadership
-Experience with solution architecture and Cloud architecture and security
-Experience with writing technical proposals, grant applications, or journal articles
-Experience with the application of data science and advanced data analytics, including structured, unstructured, or relational, data mining, and machine learning techniques
-Experience with developing and mentoring staff at all levels and building an internal capacity to deliver high quality and highly innovative analytics services
-Experience with developing and implementing successful market strategies and business developments and leading proposal, project, and intellectual capital creation
-Experience with presenting to senior executives and industry conferences and authoring whitepapers and peer-reviewed articles
-Ability to obtain a security clearance
-BA or BS degree in Statistics, Machine Learning, Mathematics, CS, Computer Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or Operations Research

Additional Qualifications:
-Experience with Big Data analytics, semantic ontologies, and natural language processing
-MA or MS degree in Statistics, Machine Learning, Operations Research, or a related technical field
