Chief Embedded Engineer

Key Role:

Apply leadership and analytical expertise to improve the defense and intelligence communities. Work closely with clients to comprehend their questions and needs. Seek out strategic partnerships inside the firm and across the industry. Mentor teammates, innovate, architect distributed systems, and guide ML, firmware, and software engineering decisions in several languages as a leader. Use the right combination of tools and frameworks to turn mountains of sensor data into useful information so for empowering our warfighters to make smarter, faster decisions. Provide our clients with knowledge of how our solutions can provide value to their mission. Identify new opportunities to use edge and fog computing to help our clients meet their toughest challenges as a technical leader. Basic Qualifications:

-10+ years of experience in multi-discipline systems engineering and design

-5+ years of experience with mobile development, including native Android, Java, and LUA

-3+ years of experience with microprocessors and physical computing, including Arduino, ESP8266, and ESP32 and small form factors, including Raspberry Pi using C++, Python, or LUA

-3+ years of experience in using software development to wirelessly integrate with commercial products, including Android smartphones or small system on a platform, including small form factor computers

-Experience with distributed computing principles and architectures and building interface design diagrams and documents

-Experience with databases, data management, machine learning, and computer vision

-Experience with analog and digital signal processing and the development of native Android apps that leverage device HW modules, including Bluetooth, WiFi, and GPS

-Ability to use off-the-shelf microprocessors to rapidly prototype and perform initial proofs of concept

-Ability to obtain a security clearance

-BA or BS degree

Additional Qualification:

-4+ years of experience with firmware engineering in software and hardware design a plus

-Experience with DoD electronic warfare as it pertains to radio communications

-Experience with military electronic warfare a plus

-Experience with technologies, including mesh networks, cellular networks, such as CDMA, 3G, and LTE, image capturing sensors, intelligent video analysis, multi-spectrum analysis, and Software Defined Radio systems

-Experience with messaging protocols pertaining to mobile applications, including Pub and Sub

-Active Secret clearance

-MS degree preferred
