Chief Embedded Engineer

The Challenge:

We need an experienced embedded engineer who will use their passion to guide a development team to learn new tools and techniques, identify and implement system improvements, and mentor teammates. You will drive innovations around distributed architectures, including hardware, software, commands, and data, provide guidance to developers building in an Agile life cycle development model. They use systems and languages, including Android, Augmented Reality, Nvidia Tesla-based SoC and SoP, FPGA, Arduino, Espressif, Java, C and C++, Python, various analog and digital sensors, and BlueTooth.

You will provide direction in the best use of these and new technologies to meet our clients’ demands. You’ll analyze the needs and the environment to make sure the solution you’re developing considers the current architecture and operating environment as well as future functionality and enhancements. You Have:

-5+ years of experience in Autonomous robotic systems and sensor fusion, including terrestrial and aerial

-3+ years of experience with microprocessors and physical computing, including Arduino, ESP8266, ESP32, and small form factors, such as Raspberry Pi using C++, Python, or LUA

-Experience with distributed computing principles and architectures

-Experience in building interface design diagrams and documents

-Experience with Databases and data management

-Experience with machine learning and computer vision

-Experience with analog and digital signal processing

-Ability to use off-the-shelf microprocessors to rapidly prototype and perform initial proofs of concept

-Secret clearance

-BA or BS degree and 10+ years of experience in multi-discipline systems engineering and design

Nice If You Have:

-5+ years of experience with mobile development, including native Android, Java, and LUA

-4+ years of experience with firmware engineering in software and hardware design a plus

-3+ years of experience with software development to wirelessly integrate with commercial products, including Android smartphones and small system on a platform, and small form factor computers

-Experience with the development of native Android apps, device hardware modules, including Bluetooth, WiFi, and GPS

-Experience with Autonomous aquatic robotic systems

-Experience with DoD electronic warfare pertaining to radio communications, including military electronic warfare a plus

-Experience with technologies, including mesh networks, cellular networks, such as CDMA, 3G, and LTE, image capturing sensors, intelligent video analysis, multi-spectrum analysis, and Software Defined Radio systems

-Experience with messaging protocols pertaining to mobile applications, including Pub and Sub

-Top Secret clearance

-MS degree preferred
