Chief of Staff, Internal Audit

Key Role:

Play a key role as the chief of staff supporting the chief audit executive and the internal audit (IA) department. Maintain responsibility for the development and tracking of a detailed IA budget by person and project for the firm, including managing contractor MSA and SOW activity. Maintain responsibility for the development of audit committee (AC) and executive presentation materials. Provide quality assurance on other key deliverables, including audit reports and ensure timely delivery and alignment to reporting protocols. Coordinate the overall strategic communication plan, including generating client satisfaction surveys and coordinating and tracking responses. Maintain tracking and remediation of all past audit findings and maintain and report on IA KPIs or metrics reported quarterly to the AC and used internally. Support the management of IA human capital matters, including compensation and promotion changes, internal training activity, and project scheduling. Conduct administrative, strategic, or technical audit work, as the schedule allows.


Basic Qualifications:

-7+ years of experience in a professional services organization

-3+ years of experience with project management

-Experience with tracking, assessing, and reporting on complex financial and subject matter information

-Experience with creating polished reports and decks for presentation to senior leadership

-Experience with Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint

-Ability to be detail-oriented

-Ability to obtain a security clearance

-BA or BS degree


Additional Qualifications:

-Experience as a public accountant or internal auditor

-Experience in program cost control and analysis

-Experience with Pentana or similar internal audit software

-Experience with IA Quality Assurance standards

-Experience with organizational risk assessments

-Experience revising and updated an IA strategic plan

-Experience with surveys

-Experience with data analytic methodologies and related software

-Possession of excellent interpersonal and critical thinking skills

-Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills
