Civil Engineer and Wastewater Specialist, Senior

Key Role:

Analyze and review statements of work, design criteria, project requirements, requests for information (RFIs), RFP development for facilities sustainment, and Repair and Modernization (FSRM) projects, including reviewing designs during 30, 60, 90, or 100 for final signature. Coordinate construction with affected MCB Hawaii parties, including NAVFACHI and base maintenance shops. Review, recommend, and provide engineering evaluations of mission critical structures. Coordinate, validate, and distribute all design plans and specifications and turn over project documents to the maintenance division, including as-builts, pre-construction, shop drawings, OMSI documents, commissioning reports, utility one-line drawings, beneficial occupancy documents, final inspection deficiency resolution, and beneficial occupancy sign-offs.

Basic Qualifications:

-10+ years of experience as a wastewater professional, project manager, or engineer

-Experience with Microsoft Office, including Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Outlook

-Knowledge of the federal national incident management system

-Ability to create professional-level correspondence and manage programs

-Ability to interact with various levels of rank, authority, and position, including both military and civilians

-Ability to obtain a security clearance
-BA or BS degree

Additional Qualifications:

-Knowledge of DoD and Marine Corps policies and regulations related to facilities planning, engineering projects, and MILCON scope

-Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills

-Possession of excellent customer service skills

-BA or BS degree in Civil Engineering or a related engineering field preferred
-Professional Engineer License preferred

-PMP Certification preferred
