Client Systems Administrator, Mid

Key Role:
Support the Air Force Distributed Common Ground System (AF DCGS) and the ISR enterprise through subject matter expertise in maintaining workstations and applications associated with government network and communication architectures, including all baseline and non-baseline systems. Work as part of an accomplished team to provide Tier 1 and Tier 2 support based on industry standards and support clients in all system problems and anomalies. Support trouble tickets submitted via an electronic problem reports system. Prepare member workstations for security accreditation. Install, configure, and maintain Windows operating systems, including System OS and application software patches and service packs. Perform Tier 1 and Tier 2 user account, group, and home directory maintenance for workstations and member servers. This position is located in Beale Air Force Base, CA.

Basic Qualifications:

-3+ years of experience with the network storage and systems, database administration, and application monitoring required to provision, sustain, operate, and integrate Cyber networked systems and applications

-3+ years of experience with the Microsoft Windows operating platforms, office productivity suites, and hardware or software troubleshooting used to support help desk operations

-Experience with troubleshooting issues regarding Active Directory topology and features in a domain environment

-Experience with Microsoft Active Directory and administering machines running Windows Server 2008, 2008 R2, 2012, 2012 R2, and RHEL 5.5+
-Experience with server repair or installation, the main internal components of a system, the replacement of these parts, the installation of software, operating systems, and drivers, and maintenance of RAID controllers

-Knowledge of centralized patching and configuration solutions, including WSUS and the System Center suite

-Knowledge of networking concepts, including DNS, DHCP, e-mail, HTTP, SSL, OSI model, and TCP/IP protocols and applications

-Ability to work 24/7/365 across shifts that rotate between days, including 0700-1700, swings, 1500-0100, and mids, such as 2300-0900

-TS/SCI clearance

Additional Qualifications:

-Experience with SQL Server 2012, IIS, and certification management a plus

-Ability to multitask and work both independently and in a team

-Possession of excellent client service, problem-solving, analytical, organizational, and planning skills
-AA or AS degree and 3 years of experience in a professional work environment or BA or BS degree

-Microsoft Certified Solution Associate Certification

-VMware Certified Professional Certification
