Clinical Data Scientist

The Challenge:
We have an opportunity for you to use your leadership and analytical skills to improve Military Health Systems (MHS). You’ll work closely with your customer to understand their questions and needs, then dig into their data-rich environment to find the pieces of their information puzzle. You’ll mentor teammates, develop clinically-driven descriptive, diagnostic, and predictive data models, and use the right combination of tools and frameworks to turn that set of disparate data points into objective answers to help senior executive health care management officials make informed decisions. You’ll provide your customer with a deep understanding of their data, what it all means, and how they can use it. Join us as we use data science for good in MHS.

You Have:

-7+ years of experience with public health, epidemiology, or population health
-2+ years of experience with healthcare quality improvement

-Experience with basic SQL for data manipulation or SAS

-Experience with developing and deploying clinical performance metrics in a population health setting

-Experience with software management and data retrieval

-Ability to obtain a security clearance

-MA or MS degree in Public Health, Epidemiology, CS, or Mathematics or 5+ years of experience with public or population health data analytics or informatics

Nice If You Have:

-Experience in a military medical role as either active duty or a civil service employee preferred

-Experience with MHS or Air Force Medical Service (AFMS) personnel data, financial execution data, medical workload data, customer satisfaction survey results data, or the Healthcare Effectiveness Data and Information Set (HEDIS) or clinical outcomes data reporting a plus

-Knowledge of MHS or AFMS business or financial processes a plus

-Secret clearance
