Clinical Research Coordinator

Key Role:

Leverage specialized training and experience as a clinical research coordinator, supporting IRB-approved clinical research supporting the Obstetric Simulation Training and Teamwork (OB-STaT) to reduce postpartum hemorrhage protocol. Coordinate and conduct human clinical research, including recruiting and screening participants, administering questionnaires and observing patient care, reporting adverse events, and preparing reports. Support the department head of the client and be accountable for research matters to the PIs of each research protocol. Document research studies, including individual patient files, databases, and the investigator’s file binder or regulatory binder. Prepare reports, including other correspondence regarding the research protocol for the IRB, granting agencies, industry sponsors, and other organizations.


Basic Qualifications:

-3+ years of experience as a clinical research coordinator

-Experience with medical record reviews and searches

-Experience with clinical computer systems, including CliniComp Essentris and Cerner MHS-Genesis

-Knowledge of the United States federal government regulations regarding the conduct of human clinical research

-Ability to obtain a security clearance

-BA or BS degree

-Certified Clinical Trial Investigator (CCTI), Certified Clinical Research Coordinator (CCRC), or Certified Clinical Research Professional (CCRP), currently or within last 5 years


Additional Qualifications:

-Experience with MHS, Navy, or DoD clientele

-Experience with project management

-Experience with coordinating national or international clinical research projects

-Experience with interacting effectively with or facilitating various types of people, including senior executives, government leaders, researchers, and clinicians
