Cloud Architect, Senior

Key Role:

Manage and perform highly complex cost proposal processes and develop deliverables to ensure timely delivery and compliance with external client and firm standards and the estimating system while managing a portfolio of proposals. Advise senior executives and decision makers on key business metrics and risks and options, perform and supervise cost or price analysis and estimates for highly complex proposal efforts, and develop and prepare pricing schedules and cost volumes in response to Requests for Proposals (RFPs), Requests for Quotes (RFQs), Requests for Information (RFIs), or Rough Order of Magnitudes (ROMs).


The Charleston Digital Hub of Booz Allen Hamilton is looking for a highly skilled and knowledgeable Cloud Architect to join our Operations and Maintenance project team.

The Charleston Hub is a software development hub of Booz Allen that operates and executes much like a fast-paced startup within the larger organization. Cloud Architects will work on a team supporting development environment performing platform as a service and infrastructure as a service in cloud environments. The team supports multiple development environment and supporting applications such as Rational Tools Concert, SharePoint, and monitoring tools. The team will work to modernize the existing platform as development environments and tools are migrated to a cloud environment.


You Have:

-Experience with Cloud engineering platforms, including AWS and Azure
-Experience with leading the design, estimation, planning, and implementation of Cloud migrations and deployments 
-Experience with documenting virtualized Cloud environments for client and operational teams 
-Experience with resource planning and management and source control and configuration management 
-Experience with disaster recovery best practices 
-Experience with environmental monitoring best practices 
-Experience with building high availability and high traffic infrastructure  
-Ability to explain highly analytical and technical concepts
-Ability to obtain a security clearance
-HS diploma or GED


Nice If You Have:
-Experience with Agile software development methodology 
-Experience with Windows and Linux OS 
-Experience with an Agile software development methodology 
-Experience with large-scale Cloud migration projects 
-Ability to show a passion for innovation

-Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills

-AWS or Azure Certification
