Cloud Engineer

Key Role:

Maintain responsible for effective provisioning, installation, configuration, operation, and maintenance of systems software and related infrastructure. Participate in technical research and development to enable continuing innovation within the infrastructure. Ensure that system hardware, operating systems, software systems, and related procedures adhere to organizational values, enabling staff, and customer delivery expectations. Manage day-to-day operations and maintenance of Cloud based virtualized development and production infrastructure. Support new system and application implementation plans, custom scripts and testing procedures to ensure operational reliability performs troubleshooting as required. Oversee problem-solving efforts often involving outside vendors and other supporting personnel and organizations. 

Basic Qualifications:  

-Experience with VMware, Linux, Windows and open source software  

-Experience with Cloud platforms, including AWS and Azure 

-Experience with Red Hat Enterprise Linux, CentOS, and Windows  

-Experience with configuration management tools, including Ansible, Chef, and Puppet  

-Experience with monitoring tools, including Foglight, Splunk, ELK, Kibana, and Grafana 

-Knowledge of virtualization and Cloud computing architectures and concepts 

-Knowledge of scripting languages, including shell scripts, Perl, Ruby, and Python 

-Ability to obtain security clearance

-HS diploma or GED

Additional Qualifications:  

-Experience with application server and Web servers like Apache, Oracle WebLogic, NginX, and Node.js 

-Experience in implementing automated processes to PaaS and IaaS environments  

-Experience with Oracle and NoSQL hosting 

-BA or BS degree in CS, MIS, or related field
