Cloud Infrastructure System Administrator

Key Role:

Perform Cloud computing system administrator development and scripting to develop, build, install, configure, and maintain a government research and development environment. Work in an open laboratory environment that comprises the network infrastructure, physical and virtual services, and workstations needed to support mission requirements. Use operating systems, including Cisco routers and switches and NetApp network attached storage arrays. Provide software and application development and user support for an established high–visibility client enterprise application and other software development projects. This position is located in Saint Louis, MO.

Basic Qualifications:

-5+ years of experience as a system administrator in a professional environment

-Experience with system configuration, management, and virtualization and VMware environments

-Experience with data gathering and analysis

-Ability to deploy and manage virtual systems and install and configure common services, including Apache and NFS

-Ability to evaluate vendor sales proposals and make recommendations to the client

-Ability to exhibit flexibility, initiative, and innovation to deal with ambiguous and fast–paced situations

-Ability to obtain a security clearance

-HS diploma or GED


Additional Qualifications:

-Experience with programming languages, including C++, Python, or .NET

-Experience with Big Data programming technologies, including Hadoop, MapReduce, Accumulo, Cassandra, HBase, R, Mahout, Pig, MongoDB, and Hive–BA

-Possession of excellent data gathering, analytical, and problem–solving skills

-Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills

-TS/SCI clearance a plus

-BS degree in CS or Mathematics and 7+ years of experience with Java preferred; MS degree in CS or Mathematics a plus
