Cloud Security Engineer, Senior

Key Role:

Partner with federal and commercial clients to execute comprehensive Cloud–based Cybersecurity solutions that support business needs and objectives in complex environments. Create technical roadmaps, project plans, requirements, designs, and implementation plans in AWS and other commercial Cloud solutions. Leverage deep technical expertise in and knowledge of IT security compliance policies and expertise in Cloud computing and Cybersecurity to advise and educate both technical and non–technical members of the client's organization and of the firm to achieve objectives. Provide direct technical support and lead teams of engineers in the development of project and investment deliverables. Conduct research on emerging technologies and industry trends independently for impact and applicability to client challenges. Work closely with clients, leadership, and vendors in formal and informal environments to gain approvals, overcome obstacles, and reach consensus in the furtherance of the client's mission and the firm's Cloud security strategy.


Basic Qualifications:

-8 years of experience with administering, implementing, and supporting complex enterprise or government IT systems or networks

-4 years of experience in working with AWS in production environments across a broad range of services, including EC2, S3, VPC, RDS, Lambda, IAM, CloudWatch, or CloudTrail

-2 years of experience with designing, implementing, and administering IT and network security solutions, including Palo Alto, Imperva, F5, Trend Micro, McAfee, and Snort

-Knowledge of TCP/IP networking concepts and technologies

-Knowledge of federal IT and Cloud security policies, including FISMA, FedRAMP, NIST 800–53, and DoD Cloud SRG and applying them to Cloud security architectures

-Knowledge of the differences between traditional and Cloud security strategies

-Ability to automate the provisioning and configuration of Cloud environments through Cloud native, including ClouFormation and 3rd party, such as Puppet, Chef, Ansible, or PowerShell tools

-Secret clearance

-BA or BS degree

-AWS Associate Level Certification


Additional Qualifications:

-Experience with the full software or systems development life cycle, including requirements analysis, design, integration, testing, and implementation

-Experience with implementing and supporting advanced Identity and Access Management solutions, including directory services, PIV, single–sign on, authentication services, privileged access management, and federation

-Experience with working in a network Security Operations Center (SOC) as an engineer or analyst

-Knowledge of firewalls, intrusion detection, encryption, monitoring, vulnerability scanning, and authentication solutions for traditional and Cloud–hosted IT systems

-Knowledge of software development methodologies in one or more of the following languages: .NET, Java, PHP, Perl, Python, or Ruby

-Security+ Certification

-ITIL Foundations Certification


Clearance:

Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; Secret clearance is required.
