Cloud Security Engineer, Senior

Key Role:  
Apply knowledge of Cybersecurity engineering services to conceptualize, design, and build secure technical solutions, including applications, systems, architectures, and infrastructures that are operationally viable and efficient. Leverage security products and technologies to protect the organization’s systems and information and enable achievement of the organization’s objectives. Advise on the design and innovative integration of Cybersecurity toolsets to enable more automated discovery, including remediation and alerting of network and device vulnerabilities as a means of improving the security posture while reducing manpower requirements. Analyze emerging technologies and design and build architectures and solutions to enable secure implementation of new technologies. Provide work leadership to junior employees, as needed.

Basic Qualifications:
-8 years of experience with administering, implementing, and supporting complex enterprise or government IT systems or networks
-4 years of experience in working with Cloud hosting environments, including AWS, Azure, and MIL Cloud across a broad range of services, such as EC2, S3, VPC, RDS, Lambda, IAM, CloudWatch, or CloudTrail
-Knowledge of TCP/IP networking concepts and technologies
-Knowledge of federal IT and Cloud security policies, including FISMA, FedRAMP, NIST 800–53, and DoD Cloud SRG and applying them to Cloud security architectures
-Secret clearance
-BA or BS degree

Additional Qualifications:

-2 years of experience with designing, implementing, and administering IT and network security solutions, including Palo Alto, Imperva, F5, Trend Micro, McAfee, and Snort
-Experience with the full software or systems development life cycle, including requirements analysis, design, integration, testing, and implementation
-Experience with implementing and supporting advanced Identity and Access Management solutions, including directory services, PIV, single–sign on, authentication services, privileged access management, and federation
-Knowledge of firewalls, intrusion detection, encryption, monitoring, vulnerability scanning, and authentication solutions for traditional and Cloud–hosted IT systems
-Knowledge of software development methodologies in one or more of the following languages: .NET, Java, PHP, Perl, Python, or Ruby

-Knowledge of the differences between traditional and Cloud security strategies

-Ability to automate the provisioning and configuration of Cloud environments through Cloud native, including CloudFormation and 3rd party, including Puppet, Chef, Ansible, or PowerShell tools
-Security+ Certification
