Cloud Solution Architect

Key Role:
Maintain responsibility for designing, architecting, and presenting technical Cloud -based solutions throughout the lifecycle, from early capture through proposal and delivery. Fill various strategic needs and be comfortable with solving critical problems. Maintain responsibility for evaluating and qualifying new sales opportunities from a technical or solution perspective, partnering with sales executives, capture managers, and delivery teams to lead the design and development of winning technical solutions to acquire new customers and expand existing customers. Focus on close interaction and building relationships with all levels of prospective client staff, including management, business or functional groups, technical teams, content teams, and IT groups. Apply broad technical acumen and thought leadership covering Cloud technologies, including system architecture, networking, infrastructure, security, migration, administration, and automation, DevOps and software development, system integration, and digital services with comprehension of the underlying protocols and standards used in the operation of those technologies.

Basic Qualifications:
-8+ years of experience with system architecture design and development, DevOps and software development, or system integration or development
-Experience with migrating, architecting, building, and deploying systems and applications to a public Cloud
-Knowledge of networking concepts, security, reliability, and scalability, as applied to enterprise-scale Cloud hosted systems
-Ability to explain complex concepts to a wide variety of individuals with various levels of technical expertise
-Ability to work in an existing technical environment and map out a roadmap for short-, medium-, and long-term solution strategies to meet the client’s strategic goals
-BA or BS degree
-AWS or Azure Certification, including Associate, Professional, Architecture, or DevOps

Additional Qualifications:
-Experience in architecting Cloud automation and configuration management solutions using infrastructure as code and working with tools, including CloudFormation, Chef, Puppet, Ansible, Salt, and Docker
-Experience with a breadth of technologies across operating systems, application servers, database and middleware infrastructure, including both Linux and Windows environments
-Knowledge of Cloud technologies and tool sets, DevOps, software development, and system integration, including the underlying protocols and standards used in the operation of those technologies
-Knowledge of federal technology initiatives, standards, and processes, including FISMA, FedRAMP, Federal Enterprise Architecture (FEA), Federal Digital Services Playbook, and Section 508
-Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills
