Command and Control IT Strategist, Junior

Key Role:

Assist with the oversight of the development of command and control (C2) systems and analyze the impact of the development of modernized C2 systems to the military services’ existing systems. Represent the client in governance and oversight meetings. Work with representatives across the DoD on issues relating to requirements, JCIDS, and POM issue papers related to modernizing C2 systems. Review Functional Requirements Document (FRD) and the Capabilities Based Assessment (CBA) and perform analysis on architectures and engineering designs for Initial Capabilities document (ICD) and Capabilities Development Document (CDD). Translate research into policy and guidance statements. Support relevant meetings, working groups, and briefings. Author client-ready products and delivery within client-specified deadlines.

Basic Qualifications:

-5+ years of experience with command and control of weapon systems

-3+ years of experience with supporting a team in a technical or analytical role

-Experience with the operation of one or more DoD command and control or communication systems and applications, including Global Command and Control System Family of Systems, Maneuver Control System, Common Mission Network Transport, SATCOM, and HF

-Active TS/SCI clearance

-BS degree in Engineering or CS

Additional Qualifications:

-Experience with command, control, and communications systems development and operations

-Experience with large integrated systems of hardware and software

-Experience with laboratory or field tests

-Knowledge of battle command and control

-MS degree preferred
