Command and Control Technician

Key Role:

Maintain and support electronics and computer systems, including military and commercial-off-the-shelf transmitter or receiver radios, digital voice recording systems, servers, workstations, communications switches, and networks. Apply comprehensive technical knowledge to solve complex problems. Leverage knowledge of the interrelationships of communication systems, network systems, operating systems, and user applications. Provide troubleshooting, training, and technical support to information technology systems in a lab environment and deployed, mobile training systems. Perform preventive maintenance, installation support, and repair on radio frequency communications systems and related equipment.

Basic Qualifications:

-Experience with Command and Control (C2) systems, including TDF, MSCT, JRE, ADSI, Link 16, Activu, SIU, and Radiant Mercury UNIX scripting

-Experience with chat systems, including TransVerse, mIRC, and BICES

-Knowledge of COMSEC procedures and management principles

-Knowledge of Microsoft Windows 7, 10, and 2008+, Red Hat Linux, and Cisco IOS

-Ability to provide troubleshooting and technical support to information technology systems and equipment

-Ability to obtain a security clearance

-HS diploma or GED

Additional Qualifications:

-Experience with VMware ESXi, VMware Horizon, vCenter, and vSAN

-Experience with the interrelationships of circuits and judgment in planning work sequence and in selecting tools and testing instruments

-Knowledge of proper safety procedures in system maintenance and operation IAW OSHA guidelines

-Knowledge of the principles of electricity and electronic circuitry

-Ability to maintain and repair RF communications systems and related equipment

-Ability to solve unusually complex problems and exercise independent judgment in performing tasks in support of electronic systems or electronic equipment

-Ability to interpret and work from blueprints, drawings, schematics, manuals, handbooks, and technical specifications

-BA or BS degree

-CompTIA Security+ Certification
