Commercial and International Contract Manager

Key Role:
Provide commercial contract consulting, negotiation, and structuring services to Booz Allen’s International and Commercial businesses consistent with firm policies and with the objective of concluding business agreements to help the firm achieve revenue, and profit goals, including mitigating business risks. Support commercial and international clients located primarily in the US, Canada, the MENA region, and Asia. Develop and coordinate contracting solutions that match the unique needs of Booz Allen’s clients to the diverse offerings and proposed solutions, including working in a fast-moving and start-up business environment. Provide full contracts life cycle support, including strategy and planning, guidance concerning contract arrangements, pricing structures, and sourcing approaches, contract proposal and award support, RFP review and analysis, drafting contract terms and assumptions, negotiation support, risk evaluation and mitigation, and post-award contract management, such as contract administration, document management, contract interpretation, advising on compliance requirements, and drafting and negotiating amendments. Liaise with program managers, senior leaders, internal client staff based within and outside of the US, firm legal counsel, including finance, pricing, international business operations, international trade compliance, risk management, procurement and sourcing, subcontracts, security, human resources, and other internal resources to help ensure comprehensive risk management. Establish and maintain good working relationships with key stakeholders and clients, internally and externally. Support team members, as needed. This position is within the legal department on the contracts team, including support Booz Allen’s international and commercial businesses.

Basic Qualifications:

-6+ years of experience with contract management

-3+ years of experience with transactional drafting and negotiation within the commercial market supporting technology and consulting services agreements with clients on the sales side of the transaction

-Experience with business software tools, including Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

-Ability to perform basic contract administration duties, including process contract awards in internal systems and upload documents to SharePoint sites

-Ability to demonstrate a commercial mindset, work independently, and successfully manage a high-volume, diverse workload consisting of a wide variety of contract types, including proposals, SOWs, MSAs, NDAs, software licenses, amendments, and change orders, including meeting short deadlines, with minimal manager supervision

-Ability to identify key contract obligations and potential business and legal risks, and devise and implement strategies for mitigating risks and resolve contractual issues, dispute and articulate positions, and explain complex contract language in simple terms

-Ability to contribute effective, value-add contracting advice to internal business clients, and to guide and direct internal clients in comprehending and interpreting business contract requirements

-Ability to be a business- and client-oriented team player, and build and maintain good working relationships with senior leaders, and staff throughout the organization, including with external clients

-BA or BS degree and 6 years of experience with commercial contracts, or MA or MS degree
