Commercial Associate General Counsel Lead

Key Role:

Support Booz Allen’s growing commercial business, oversee legal and contract matters, and work closely with other business operations functions to support the commercial account. Oversee the commercial legal and contracts team, serving as a player-coach, mentoring other members of the team and directly, and engaging on complex, strategic matters. Coordinate with other legal professionals, including corporate governance, employment, privacy, anti-corruption, trade compliance, and intellectual property and business operations functions, including finance, pricing, corporate contracts, and people services in the furtherance of the commercial business while identifying and mitigating risk across the account. Work closely with the leadership of the commercial business on strategic initiatives that support growth of the business, mitigate risk, and promote sound contracting practices, standards, and approaches consistent with firm policies and procedures.

Basic Qualifications:

-10+ years of experience with transactional commercial market negotiating master services agreements, software licenses, strategic alliances and reseller agreements, joint development agreements, software licensing and Cloud and SaaS agreements, and service-level agreements

-Experience with representing providers of consulting services to commercial clients

-Experience with general business law and associated issues

-Experience with legal and analytical judgment and serving as a business partner to develop comprehensive solutions to challenging problems

-Experience with a business-oriented approach to problem solving

-Ability to work under pressure with the flexibility to manage competing priorities and workload while meeting deadlines in a changing and fast-paced environment

-JD degree and member in good standing of a bar in at least one state

Additional Qualifications:

-Experience in a large law firm or corporate law department in the consulting industry preferred

-Experience with international expertise in Europe a plus

-Knowledge of Cybersecurity, Cyber incident response, and managed Cybersecurity services

-Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills
