Commercial Transition Analyst

Key Role:

Apply knowledge across the Research and Development (R&D) program planning life cycle. Advise R&D and Science and Technology (S&T) organizations on best-of-class and enterprise mandated or prescribed policies, processes, and procedures to define, develop, acquire, and field prototype or demonstration systems or knowledge product and services to satisfy stakeholder needs, including R&D sponsors, S&T constituents, and end users. Provide recommendations on analyzing integrated R&D acquisition strategies and implementation plans to facilitate the procurement of discovery, research, and analytical services and experiments, prototypes, and pilot demonstrations within established cost, schedule, performance, and risk profiles. Advise on the application of strategies and processes across a logical grouping of programs to ensure strategic alignment with agency objectives, reduce investment overlaps, and optimize the portfolio’s health and potential ROI. Leverage a broad range of knowledge across the S&T domain and within the R&D enterprise, including experience with industry challenges and best practices. Provide work leadership to junior employees.

Basic Qualifications:

-Experience with commercializing innovative biological technologies from one or more of the following fields: neurotechnology or human-machine interfaces, biopharmaceuticals, or synthetic biology

-Knowledge of technology market drivers and paths to commercializing biological technologies

-Ability to maintain a large professional network of commercial contacts across one or more of the following fields: neurotechnology or human-machine interfaces, biopharmaceuticals, or synthetic biology

-Ability to obtain a security clearance

-MS degree in Life Science, Chemical, Biological, or Biomedical Engineering

Additional Qualifications:

-Experience with commercializing innovative biological technologies in all the following fields: neurotechnology or human-machine interfaces, biopharmaceuticals, or synthetic biology

-Knowledge of fundamental regulatory processes associated with new biologics and devices

-Ability to maintain a large professional network of commercial contacts across all of the following fields: neurotechnology or human-machine interfaces, biopharmaceuticals, or synthetic biology

-PhD degree in Life Science, Chemical, Biological, or Biomedical Engineering
