Communications Manager

Key Role:

Oversee an Army client's command information, public information, and community relations programs and serve as the team's spokesperson. Provide communication assistance to the team director and team members. Broaden public knowledge of the client's activities and accomplishments, portray their missions and capabilities accurately and effectively, and ensure message synchronization and awareness.

Basic Qualifications:

-5+ years of experience in the marketing or communications field

-Experience with organization Web site management

-Experience with Microsoft Office applications

-Ability to use various types of communication and media channels to deliver content effectively

-Ability to obtain a security clearance

-BA or BS degree required

Additional Qualifications:

-10+ years of experience with representing an organization to the public and news media outlets preferred

-Experience with collaboration across all levels, organizations, and cross-cultural settings

-Ability to turn concepts into action

-Ability to synthesize complicated technical policy and program information into digestible products

-Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills, including expertise in editing

-Possession of excellent time management, forward-planning, and prioritization skills

-Possession of excellent leadership, critical-thinking, and problem-solving skills

-BA or BS degree in a Business or Communications field preferred; MA or MS degree a plus
