Communications Security Support Engineer, Mid

Key Role:
Research, learn, and share information on new security topics and technologies. Read technical documents and use expertise to help identify potential security vulnerabilities and interoperability concerns. Author documentation, including white papers and guidance documents that inform and provide recommendations to help maintain security and integrity of Army networks. This position is located at Aberdeen Proving Ground (APG), MD.

Basic Qualifications:
-5+ years of experience with Cybersecurity or communications security (COMSEC)
-Experience with cryptographic encryption or decryption processes and secure design best practices
-Experience with networking standards and protocols
-Experience with network diagrams, network architectures, networking devices
-Experience with working as part of a team and supporting meetings and deliverables for senior client leadership 
-Ability to travel up to 20% of the time required
-Ability to be a motivated self-starter, learn quickly, and perform independent research on new security topics and products
-Secret clearance
-BA or BS degree

Additional Qualifications:
-Experience with Key Management systems, including Electronic Key Management System or Key Management Infrastructure or Public Key Infrastructure (PKI)
-Experience with network and security equipment configuration, including Cisco, Juniper, or Aruba in field or lab environments
-Experience with DoD or Army Cybersecurity policies and strategies
-Experience in collaborating with Army or other Service program offices and organizations
-Experience with vulnerability testing
-Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills
-Possession of excellent problem-solving skills
-TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph
-CISSP, Security+, ICND, CCNA, MCP, MCSE, or CEH Certifications preferred

-BA or BS degree in Engineering, CS, or related field
