Communications Specialist

Key Role:

Produce communication products and activities that align comprehension of workforce, attitudes, and behaviors with client goals and fosters an environment of engagement. Maintain responsibility for generating print and digital content, managing content on digital platforms, evaluating communication activities, conducting audience research, and organizing events. Apply expertise in organization and production to strategic objectives. Work on moderate to highly complex subject matter involving coordination across stakeholders in multiple divisions.

Basic Qualifications:
-10+ years of experience with strategic communications, including researching and drafting original content for a variety of communication channels and methods
-Ability to plan, develop, design, and revise corporate Web sites
-TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph
-BA or BS degree

Additional Qualifications:

-Ability to develop and implement a marketing and communications strategy, including maximizing the use of existing communications platforms while developing new communications and feedback platforms

-Ability to provide Web-based design, implementation, and support to the client's Web site and other Web activities

-Ability to provide Web content management

-Ability to author and support executive correspondence

-Ability to develop a newsletter and strategy

-Ability to develop interactive virtual communications to address partner and employee concerns

-Ability to consolidate weekly highlights and accomplishments into a professional format presentable to senior leaders that reflects the impact and link to the organization's mission, vision, and values

-Ability to develop and maintain data placemats using contemporary data visualization tools

-Ability to develop executive one-pagers and manage their dissemination

-Ability to develop and manage a strategic outreach program at the tactical and strategic level, including determining the frequency of contact, message management, and mediums or modes of contact, such as achieving comprehension of mission requirements and support challenges

-Ability to manage the marketing of products and services in a manner that emphasizes value to the mission, including comprehension of both the products/services, and the mission of the organization

-Ability to monitor, summarize, and provide analysis of communications activities

-Ability to advise on, analyze, and support the implementation of feedback mechanisms, including both qualitative and quantitative to measure employee engagement and effectiveness of internal communication.
