Community Relations Specialist/Coordinator

Key Role:

Support program managers in the implementation of community outreach program initiatives, provide event support, recruiting, and managing volunteers, and manage and triage employee and nonprofit inquiries. Coordinate department communications activities, including updates to toolkits and internal resource materials, corporate social media, and external communications efforts. Manage the firm’s grantmaking and volunteerism management platform. Manage all back of the house operations and processes and troubleshooting, assist users, and create charitable campaign content and pages. Work closely with internal colleagues to ensure compliance with corporate policies and promote and increase engagement in corporate initiatives. Identify, propose, and implement process improvements to increase department and corporate results. Prepare reports for senior management to inform and advance the firm’s community outreach programs and social impact.

Basic Qualifications:

-Experience with working in an office environment

-Experience with nonprofit organizations in a paid or volunteer position

-Experience in working with databases and online reporting systems 

-Experience in working with diverse platforms and new technology

-BA or BS degree

Additional Qualifications:

-Experience with event management 

-Experience with current trends in social media and communications tools and options

-Knowledge of PC database applications for maintaining a database of charitable donations or data management of lists for events

-Experience with Microsoft SharePoint

-Ability to be highly organized and pay strict attention to detail

-Ability to work comfortably in a virtual environment with employees not co-located in the office

-Ability to be a team player and work across the enterprise

-Ability to work independently and self-lead work responsibilities with minimal direction needed from a leader

-Possession of excellent project and time management and multi-tasking skills

-Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills
