Compliance Automation Engineer

Key Role:
Serve as an Automation and Orchestration (A&O) engineer for client-facing tasks to develop and integrate compliance solution for a government client's network. Perform services that include engineering and scientific tasks in planning, development, production, operations and maintenance environments that are broad in nature and are concerned with the design, development, layout, and testing of devices or systems. Plan and perform engineering or programming, scientific research, studies, and analysis, including Cloud based analytics and tool development, technology planning, applied systems architecture development and integration, applied requirements development, concept development, data structure design, systems and software design, application programming, script development, development and integration, test and evaluation, systems operation, control of systems and components, integrated logistics support, modeling and simulation, configuration management, systems and mission engineering, systems acquisition, and lifecycle management.

Basic Qualifications:

-2+ years of experience with scripting program languages and automation using PowerShell and shell scripting

-Experience with API development and usage

-Experience with the design, development, and testing of systems and devices

-Experience with hardening Windows servers, Linux servers, and VMware using Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGS)

-Experience with FISMA compliance and reporting requirements

-Experience with troubleshooting issues, implementing enhancements to improve reliability and performance, and with security auditing tools

-Experience with leading a team and providing briefing and presentation to stakeholders

-Public Trust clearance

-BA or BS degree and 2+ years of experience with scripting and automation techniques

Additional Qualifications:

-Experience with federal and industry compliance programs, including SOC2 and FedRAMP

-Experience with compliance programs and working with auditors on compliance programs

-Experience with Cloud architectures and related security best practices

-Knowledge of network and system security best practices
-Ability to evaluate existing security and compliance plans, policies, and procedures
-Ability to define new security and compliance policies to adhere to current and future requirements
-Ability to evaluate and manage systems for auditing and enforcement of policies

-Certification in one or more of the following: CompTIA Security+ CE (Sec+ CE), Certified Information Security Manager (CISM), Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), or SANS GIAC Security Essentials (GSEC)
