Computer Engineer/Cybersecurity Engineer, Mid

Key Role:
Provide Cybersecurity and privacy analysis assistance throughout the security assessment and compliance lifecycle process under general supervision. Maintain responsibility for the continuous monitoring of Cybersecurity and privacy policies, programs, compliance artifacts, or standards for government and industry security compliance and systems accreditation and management. Support the administration of the documentation, validation, and accreditation processes necessary to ensure systems meet security and privacy requirements. Generate vulnerability reports for Cybersecurity risk assessments and mitigations for systems. Analyze and test systems security contingency and disaster recovery procedures and document results. Assess Cybersecurity risk and accreditation impact of changes to existing information systems and enclaves and provide recommendations to mitigate. Support requirements for computer systems, including maintaining Cybersecurity documentation and operational assessment and authorization (A&A) documentation.

Basic Qualifications:
-Experience with identifying risks and providing technical solutions to mitigate and reduce risks during the A&A process to ensure the accreditation is maintained
-Experience with conducting and documenting security test and evaluation of IA controls, inputting results in a database, and performing manual and automated vulnerability tests and evaluations for information systems, software applications, and laboratories
-Experience in programming and systems analysis, including working with databases, object-oriented programming languages, client-server applications development, and multimedia and Internet technology
-Ability to generate Cybersecurity A&A strategy and boundary diagrams, A&A packages, and supporting documentation, including Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for Cybersecurity Vulnerability Management, Cybersecurity Certification Testing, and Configuration Management in accordance with governing Cybersecurity Business Rules A&A submission requirements
-Secret clearance
-BA or BS degree in Computer Engineering, EE, Mathematics, or CS
-CompTIA Security+ Certification

Additional Qualifications:
-Ability to patch, harden, and secure systems per applicable Security Technical and Implementation Guides (STIGs), Information Assurance Vulnerability Alerts, Bulletins, and Technical (IAV-A/B/T) and report compliance
-Ability to perform periodic vulnerability scans on information systems and enclaves using approved scanning tools and report technical findings
-TS/SCI clearance
-DoDI 8570.01 Cybersecurity Workforce Status Certifications

Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; Secret clearance is required.
