Configuration Management Specialist

Key Role:

Protect the integrity of a project’s delivered products, from code to technical documentation. Leverage modern configuration management, application management, and life cycle-management tools and processes to maintain version control for software code, packages, libraries, containers, virtual machines, releases, and documents. Take ownership of the project’s configuration management plan, facilitate configuration control boards, and establish the configuration management library. Coordinate with end users, site recipients, developers, and a design team to determine a process for configuration management and change reporting of all configuration items in support of the program. Review released engineering change data and change documenting activities to confirm adherence to configuration management procedures and policies.


Basic Qualifications:

-4+ years of experience with software configuration management (CM) in a defense-related environment

-Experience with establishing and maintaining baselines and change control and conducing configuration audits, status accounting, and reviews

-Experience in generating or assisting with the development of CM plans, processes and procedures

-Experience with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Project, and Word

-Experience with CM planning and execution

-Experience with CM automated tools

-Experience with software configuration management, source code management, software delivery metrics, software quality metrics, Git or Subversion, Version Control Systems (VCS), or Distributed Version Control Systems (DCVS)

-TS/SCI clearance

-BS degree


Additional Qualifications:

-Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills

-BS degree in EE, Computer Engineering, System Engineering, Network Engineering, or a related technical field

-CCMP Certification
