Configuration Manager

Key Role:
Serve as a software and system technical configuration manager supporting the client’s mission capabilities. Manage, maintain, and mature the configuration management environment for hardware, servers, and software product builds. Coordinate and track software and system staging, testing, and integration activities with the engineering team. Collaborate with software developers and system engineers to analyze and implement hardware and software configuration management processes and procedures, including analyzing the creation of product build scripts and procedures and integrating those scripts with the hardware and software build process. Define and track multiple versions and instances of hardware platforms and software builds deployed worldwide that are customized per unique site and customer requirements. Ensure hardware and software version control processes, policies, and procedures are followed on hardware and software development projects. Coordinate defect tracking for both software and hardware with developers and the lead system engineer.

Basic Qualifications:
-3 years of experience with Linux OS
-2 years of experience with scripting in two or more of the following languages: Bash, Python, C-Shell, or JavaScript
-Experience with Subversion/SVN, automating system configuration maintenance processes using Ansible, Salt, or Puppet, and one or more of the following build tools: AutoTools, ANT, or Maven
-Experience with continuous integration and configuration management of servers, infrastructure, and build servicing
-Experience with GitLab, MADForge, or GForge
-Experience with integrating software packages, building software releases, and managing or coordinating software release deployments, including managing remote deployment modules and packages
-Experience with managing software version release and system version documentation and configuration management plans, processes, and procedures
-Experience in managing defect tracking for systems and software, working with development teams to assign or plan defect resolutions into future releases and performing change control and configuration audits successfully
-Active TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph required
-BA or BS degree and 6 years of experience with software configuration management or 10 years of experience with software configuration management in lieu of a degree

Additional Qualifications:
-Experience in working with virtual machine environments
-Experience with Web app deployment and Apache Tomcat
-Experience with basic Linux system administration functions 
-Experience with setting up defect tracking approaches or tools
-Experience with working in an Agile development environment
