Construction Manager

Key Role:

Serve as a client's representative and provide construction management for various client projects. Work on projects that include administration and operational facilities, community support and quality of life facilities, such as bachelor and family housing, and infrastructure and utility improvements. Promote and advance program management office (PMO) concerns, considerations, and feedback during technical reviews of basic criteria packages (BCP) and design submissions for construction elements, field change requests, modifications during construction, construction compliance with current Unified Facilities Criteria (UFC) and industry standards on various projects managed by the military with coordination efforts for MCB Camp Butler. Investigate proposed changes during construction, including making recommendations to the client's PMO. Perform project close-outs with regards to such items as preparation of official documentation for the transfer and acceptance of the real property, warranties, as-built drawings, training documents and furniture and equipment handling, and transfer and unit and activity moves. Coordinate and monitor accomplishment of milestones for construction projects, monitor project construction status and presents project status for all levels of command, identify problem areas, and recommend or prepare corrective actions.

Basic Qualifications:
-3+ years of experience in an engineering, architecture, or construction field
-3+ years of experience with managing construction projects, including formulating project requirements, refining project requirements in engineering terms, submitting documents, interpreting and executing project designs and construction methods, accepting project documentation, and completing projects

-Experience with interpreting the interrelationships of complex technical functions and translating esoteric requirements into specific facility needs
-Knowledge of collateral equipment installation requirements, facility occupancy use requirements, and post-occupancy facility evaluation requirements
-Ability to obtain a security clearance
-BA or BS degree required

Additional Qualifications:
-Ability to converse in Japanese preferred
-Professional Engineering or Registered Architect certifications preferred
