Construction Project Scheduler

Key Role:

Provide scheduling consultation, integrated engineering scheduling, and project management services, including investigation and redesign for building condition assessments, such as HVAC and structural and electrical systems and program operations assessments, such as printing and graphics, logistics, and construction management systems for a federal client. Develop and maintain schedules and integrated master schedules. Develop work breakdown structures and activity coding and provide detailed analysis of project schedules, from project inception through design phases, construction kickoff, and completion. Perform advanced schedule analysis, including monitoring project progress, creating schedule fragments for change or what-if scenarios, and providing impact analysis of schedule changes, identify schedule variances and opportunities, and develop mitigation strategies for the project management team proactively. Perform time impact analyses. This position is located in the Metro DC area.

Basic Qualifications:

-3+ years of experience with building construction in the commercial or government sectors

-2+ years of experience with construction scheduling
-Top Secret clearance required 

-BA or BS degree required

Additional Qualifications:

-Experience with critical path analysis and tracking, earned value management, and scheduling software, including using Microsoft Project, Suretrack, and Primavera P6 to manage timelines, track progress, and generate reports at the expert level

-Experience with cost and execution milestones, construction schedules, furniture acquisition, alternative work space design and construction, and change order management
-Experience with maintaining data in clear, accurate formats

-Experience with producing and managing resource and cost loaded schedules for the life cycle of a construction project from concept to engineering and design to procurement and construction

-Experience with Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, Access, and PowerPoint and performing data evaluation, formulas, and metrics in Excel
-Knowledge of the construction process in accordance with federal acquisitions regulations

-Knowledge of construction project processes and other facilities management functional areas

-Ability to handle numerous tasks

-Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills

-Possession of excellent organizational skills

-BA or BS degree in Construction Management, Architecture, Engineering, or a related field preferred
