Contract Closeout and Compliance, Lead

Key Role:
Lead a team of contract closeout professionals in the office of Government Accounting Compliance (GAC). Work under consultative direction toward predetermined long-range targets, act as a prime leader on large programs or projects that affect the organization's long-term goals and objectives, develop competency in project and financial management, and be involved in managing teams and formulating business strategies. Guide the progress of projects while mentoring junior staff in both firm and technical competencies. Assess training needs of contract closeout staff and develop appropriate training plans. Develop and implement programs designed to increase employee awareness and knowledge of compliance policies. Provide overflow support to other units within GAC, including interpreting laws and regulations as they apply to financial and business processes and investigating and resolving compliance problems, questions, or complaints received from other areas of the firm and government regulatory agencies. Develop innovative principles, ideas, and solutions to problems of unusual complexity which require a high degree of ingenuity, creativity, and innovation. 


Basic Qualifications:

-10+ years of experience in contract closeout with at least 5+ of those years of experience with supervising contract closeout functions

-3+ years of experience with government contract cost accounting and FAR, DFARS, CAS, and their applications

-Experience with responding to government audit requests, including from DCMA and DCAA

-Experience with evaluating the training needs of a team and developing an appropriate training plan

-Experience with Microsoft Office, including Excel
-Ability to obtain a security clearance
-BA or BS degree or 20+ years of experience with contract closeout functions at a major governmental services contractor in lieu of a Bachelor’s degree


Additional Qualifications:

-Experience with ERP systems, including Deltek CostPoint and JAMIS

-Experience with budget preparation and reporting

-Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills

-Possession of excellent interpersonal skills

-BA or BS degree in Finance or Accounting
