You Have:

-5+ years of experience with authoring technical papers, reports, or program plans for technical and non-technical audiences on research related to controls engineering or marine hydrokinectic systems

-1+ years of experience with postdoctoral or industry research and consulting

-Experience with concurrent engineering or co-optimization or co-simulation methodologies

-Ability to obtain a security clearance

-PhD degree in Controls Engineering, System Engineering, ME, Aerospace Engineering, or EE

Nice If You Have:

-Experience in a consulting environment preferred

-Experience with design of wind, marine hydrokinetic systems, or similar complex electro-mechanical systems

-Experience with wind modeling and simulation software, including Bladed, FAST, Modelica, Mathematica, or similar software a plus

-Experience with MATLAB or Simulink and their modeling, identification, and control toolboxes

-Experience with real-world engineering, including design, implementation, validation, and field experimentation of systems preferred

-Experience with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

-Ability to exhibit flexibility, adaptability, and work in a collaborative team environment

-Ability to be a proactive problem solver and work independently

-Ability to travel for technical discussions about a variety of applied controls technologies

-Ability to travel to Washington, DC

-Ability to multi-task efficiently and effectively

-Possession of excellent client service, organizational, analytical, and time management skills

-Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills
