Counter-IED Engineer, Lead

Key Role:
Provide technical engineering analysis for the evaluation and characterization of IED or RCIED devices. Produce detailed and comprehensive assessments of the capabilities, limitations, and vulnerabilities of their technologies, designs, and components, including the circuits used to design, control and initiate RCIEDs with sufficient technical detail to enable the development of new or improved US or Allied Counter-IED (C-IED) capabilities. Work as an integral part of a team and conduct extensive coordination and interaction with other client analysts and with IED or C-IED technical and all source intelligence analysts at the client agency and other US government agencies.

Basic Qualifications:
-10+ years of experience with supporting the DoD or US intelligence community (IC)
-5+ years of experience in any two of the following technical fields: RF engineering, digital signal processing, software or hardware engineering, or telecommunications engineering
-Experience with conducting research, analysis, and writing to contribute to in-depth, all-source scientific and technical intelligence reports and studies that follow ODNI analyst integrity standards
-Ability to read and analyze electronic device designs and evaluate the strengths and vulnerabilities of their circuits and components
-Ability to research, analyze, and evaluate technical and forensic reports produced by others for use in all-source intelligence reports and studies
-Ability to prepare and present technical briefings to wide range of audiences, including technical and senior flag-rank decision makers
-TS/SCI clearance
-BA or BS degree in EE

Additional Qualifications:
-Experience with working in a classified information environment
-Experience with common DoD and IC research and analysis applications and tools and IED-related intelligence databases
-Knowledge of US C-IED organizations, missions, and capabilities
-Knowledge of classified and unclassified DoD or IC information networks
-MS degree in EE

Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; TS/SCI clearance is required.
