Cyber Exercise Planner

Key Role:

Provide direct support to meet CCMD strategic and operational level objectives as part of the JFHQ-FWD (EUCOM) staff. Coordinate with JFHQ-C (AFCYBER), JFHQ-DoDIN, and other CYBERCOM components, as required. Support offensive Cyber operations exercise planning, development, coordination, facilitation, execution, assessment, and training. Provide expertise, technical assistance and data, information management for analysis, coordination, planning, execution, and after-action reporting. Participate in and directly support exercise execution by developing scenario events and acting as white cell or controller participants. Coordinate in crafting scenarios, events, and vignettes and determine the level of support requirements for OCO activities within each exercise, experiment, or demonstration. Ensure planning activities are integrated and synchronized with CCMD battle rhythms.

Basic Qualifications:

-4+ years of experience with operational and technical military in planning, developing, coordinating, and executing United States Air Force (USAF) or other Services participation in Command, Service, Joint Chiefs of Staff (JCS), and Combatant Command (CCMD) operations

-3+ years of experience as part of an AFCYBER, sister service component, or commercial network operations crew

-Experience with Measures of Performances (MOPs) to evaluate task performance at all levels of war and Measures of Effectiveness (MOEs) to determine progress of operations toward achieving objectives

-Knowledge of Cyber operations with an emphasis on AFCYBER capabilities or limitations

-Knowledge of the Joint Operations Planning Process (JOPP) and the Joint Exercise Life Cycle (JELC)

-TS/SCI clearance

-HS diploma or GED

-DoDI 8570 Level II Certification

Additional Qualifications:

-Experience in an Air Operations Center (AOC), Operations Center (OC), or other service component operational level

-Experience as staff at the Numbered Air Force level or above

-Experience with accomplishing strategic objectives through employing live, virtual, and constructive exercise methodologies

-Experience as a planner with operational-level Joint exercise and training expertise

-Experience with developing and deploying data driven analytics and event driven analysis

-BA or BS degree in Computer Science, Information Security, Information Technology, or Computer Engineering
