Cyber Instructional Systems Designer

Key Role:

Work closely with other ISDs, subject matter experts, master schedulers, instructors, virtual machine engineers, Cybersecurity professionals, and other contractors to carefully analyze data and design effective Cybersecurity training program solutions, and develop strategies that leverage instructional design and training evaluation models for Cyber-related topics. Comprehend the practical application of a variety of multimedia technologies, including virtual classrooms, virtual conferences, audio, video, CD-ROM, DVD, and Internet or intranet-related tools and know how to develop instructional manuals, job aids, quick reference materials, and other print-based materials. Leverage writing and oral and written communications expertise to provide concise, easy-to-understand summaries of activities. Update, innovate, and enhance training programs. Develop and nurture client relationships through routine interface with numerous clients. This position may require travel up to 50% of the time.


Basic Qualifications:

-3+ years of experience with working in teams to conduct learning analysis and strategy, content design and development, content delivery, learning technology, or learning evaluation 

-3+ years of experience as an instructional designer, educator, or consultant in a professional work environment 

-3+ years of experience with developing Instructor-Led Training materials and eLearning resources which account for SCORM and Section 508 compliances 

-Experience with using Microsoft Office at a proficient level

-Experience with using a Learning Management System (LMS), including Joint Knowledge Online (JKO) or a Learning Content Management System (LCMS), such as Blackboard, and comprehending compliances, including Section 508 and Shareable Content Object Reference Model (SCORM)

-Ability to travel up to 50% of the time

-Top Secret clearance

-MA or MS degree in Education, Instructional Design, or Instructional Technology

-Current IAM I or IAT II Certification, including Security+ or equivalent to meet DoD 8570 compliance


Additional Qualifications:

-Experience with building and maintaining client relationships in a team-based government or professional services environment

-Ability to perform needs assessment, requirements development and analysis, needs curriculum development, high-level simulations, LMS, LCMS development and distribution, learning technology, or evaluation 

-Ability to provide professional services to the federal government 

-Ability to translate information, develop insights, and work alongside clients at client sites

-Ability to be a self-starter and thrive in a fast-paced team environment 

-Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills
