Cyber Operational Planner, Mid

Key Role:

Facilitate Cyber information sharing occurring between agencies, including shared awareness of Cyber initiatives and potential impacts to missions and activities and to provide awareness of Cyber initiatives and potential impacts to clients. Provide DoD perspectives for DHS' efforts in Cyberspace operations, plans, and exercise implementation to determine capability gaps and impacts. Research input for DHS Cyber development and planning activities that support and protect critical Cyber infrastructure and key resources within the area of responsibility (AOR). Provide input and recommendations on the planning and execution of national -level Cyber exercises, including Cyber Storm, client exercises, and DoD and DHS combined exercises. Update the client regarding global situational awareness of Cyber events as they occur. Correlate Cyber information for client mission impacts and relay input. Determine capability gaps as well as impacts to the client's Cyberspace initiatives by developing conference briefs and reports to share the DoD perspective to DHS efforts in Cyberspace operations, plans, and exercise implementation.

Basic Qualifications:

-Experience with US government (USG), DHS, and DoD Cyber equities, roles and mission space, organizational structures, plans, operational concepts, and capabilities

-Experience with private sector Cybersecurity-focused organizations, issues, capabilities, and relationships with USG Cyber partners

-Ability to engage with, provide briefings to, and establish trusted relationships with DHS and DoD staff and senior leadership

-Active TS/SCI clearance

-BA or BS degree

Additional Qualifications:

-Ability to conduct quarterly travel to Colorado Springs, CO and other local areas, as necessary

-Information Assurance training (IAT) Level II Certification
