Cyber System Administrator, Mid

Key Role:
Maintain application environments and corresponding virtual hosts, physical servers, and hyper–converged storage or backup solutions. Troubleshoot OS and application issues, including implementing OS and software installation and upgrades, monitoring the infrastructure, inspecting logs, facilitating performance tuning, and deploying virtual machines. Provide technical support to application developers and testers and work with the hosting provider to escalate server, network, and storage issues, as required. Analyze and monitor policies and standards for allocation of computing resource usage. Monitor the system information security posture by installing IAVA updates and patches to ensure information assurance compliance and standards. Serve as the IT lead and systems expert supporting the client, recommending system improvements and efficiencies while identifying and mitigating risks. View current configuration, provide recommendations based on industry best practices, and support the implementation of local database Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs).

Basic Qualifications:
-5+ years of experience with Windows Server 2008 and 2012 R2, IIS, VMware, Remote Desktop, DNS, DHCP, Hyper–V, and Cisco IOS
-5+ years of experience in a DoD network environment, including firewall policies, ports, and protocols
-Experience with storage and backup technologies
-Ability to demonstrate excellent technical leadership and client–facing consulting expertise
-Ability to work in a fast–paced, team–oriented environment
-Ability to work in a highly collaborative environment with peers and senior government officials
-Ability to respond quickly to production issues as they unfold
-TS/SCI clearance
-HS diploma or GED
-DoD 8570 IAT Level III Certification and CND Role Certification, including CEH or SSCP

Additional Qualifications:
-Experience with various flavors of Linux, including RedHat 6.x and 7.x
-Experience with working in fully virtualized VMware 5.x and 6.x environments a plus
-Experience with Microsoft Group Policy Objects a plus
-Experience with Microsoft Active Directory a plus
-Experience with PowerShell, MS–DOS, Bash, Perl, and Python scripting 
-Experience with hyper–converged technologies in a fully virtualized environment a plus
-Experience with Cisco Nexus switches a plus
