Cyber Threat Analyst, Junior

Key Role:

Support an internal Booz Allen Hamilton team with systems administration and support of Booz Allen enterprise scanning and assessment tools, vulnerability identification and testing, and assessment and mitigation of vulnerabilities both internally and externally. Work in an integrated team environment and leverage automated and manual vulnerability scan tools. Deploy security industry knowledge that evolves with current and emerging threats and key business and technological processes. Maintain responsibility for assisting others with interpreting, understanding, and applying information security policies and standards to mitigate information security risks. Configure and run vulnerability scans across the global enterprise and apply knowledge of network topology. Maintain current knowledge of information security threats and possible impacts to the global enterprise.

Basic Qualifications:

-1+ years of experience with system administration
-1+ years of experience in medium to large corporate enterprise environments
-Experience with Windows, UNIX, Linux servers at the beginner– to intermediate–level
-Knowledge of basic networking protocols, including TCP/IP, HTTP/HTTPs, FTP, or DNS
-Knowledge of vulnerabilities, Cyber threats, and information security tools

-Ability to learn, adapt to, and support vulnerability management objectives, including vulnerability scanning, prioritization, and remediation projects
-Ability to communicate effectively with clients, staff, and management
-Ability to work independently 

-HS diploma or GED

Additional Qualifications:

-Experience with Tenable Security Center or Nessus

-Experience with UNIX–based systems
-Experience in scripting with Python, Ruby, or Perl

-Knowledge of Web applications, databases, and Web server design and implementation
-Knowledge of open security standards and projects, including OWASP
-CompTIA Security+ Certification

-Training with SANS or specialized security classes
