Cyber Threat Analyst, Junior

Key Role:
Support Booz Allen Hamilton's internal Global Cybersecurity Operations team through systems administration and support of Booz Allen enterprise scanning and assessment tools, vulnerability identification and testing, and assessment and mitigation of internal and external vulnerabilities. Work in an integrated team environment and leverage automated and manual vulnerability scan tools. Apply expertise in the security industry, evolve with current and emerging threats, and maintain ongoing comprehension of key business and technological processes. Maintain responsibility for assisting others with interpreting, comprehending, and applying information security policies and standards to mitigate information security risks. Configure and run vulnerability scans across the global enterprise, apply comprehension of network topology, and maintain comprehension of current information security threats and possible impacts to the global enterprise.
 

Basic Qualifications:
-1+ years of experience with systems administration
-1+ years of experience in medium to large corporate enterprise environments
-Experience with Windows, UNIX, and Linux servers
-Knowledge of basic networking protocols, including TCP/IP, HTTP/HTTPS, FTP, and DNS
-Knowledge of current vulnerabilities, Cyber threats, and information security tools
-Ability to learn, adapt to, and support vulnerability management objectives, including vulnerability scanning, prioritization, and remediation projects
-Ability to communicate with clients, staff and management effectively
-Ability to work independently 
 

Additional Qualifications:
-Experience with Tenable Security Center or Nessus
-Experience with UNIX-based systems
-Experience in scripting with python, ruby, or perl
-Knowledge of open security standards and projects, including OWASP
-Knowledge of Web applications, databases, and Web server design and implementation
-BA or BS degree
-Completion of SANS training or specialized security classes
-CompTIA Security+ or similar certification
