Cybersecurity Analyst, Mid

Key Role:
Maintain responsibility for US Air Force Cybersecurity policies and procedures. Perform analysis of Cybersecurity artifacts required to support the execution of the risk management process. Work closely with the development team to review, document, verify, and support Cybersecurity requirements that apply to the system. Interface with project managers, system engineers, software developers, and other technical and functional support staff to gather facts through research, interviewing, and surveys. Support assessments and evaluations of security vulnerabilities, develop mitigation strategies, and ensure the development of system life cycle documentation by reviewing and endorsing documentation and providing recommendations to government assessors. Support the government in advising on system security, planning, progress, and risks and ensure Cybersecurity is incorporated into all aspects of system development and implementation. Ensure system vulnerabilities are tracked, categorized, and mitigated against risks and support the documentation of system vulnerabilities into automated systems and tools.


Basic Qualifications:

-2+ years of experience with providing information assurance support, documenting compliance, or evaluating IA security posture in a DoD environment

-Experience with analyzing and maintaining RMF packages, Cybersecurity strategies, and supporting documentation

-Experience with Air Force or DoD directives, STIGs, and IAVAs for applicability and implementation

-Secret clearance

-BA or BS degree

-DoDI 8570 IAM Level II Certification


Additional Qualifications:

-Knowledge of Enterprise Mission Assurance Support Service (eMASS) or Xacta

-Knowledge of the ACAS tool suite

-Knowledge of network architecture analysis, verification and validation of requirements, and the risk management process

-Knowledge of the NIST Special Publication 800–53

-Knowledge of Air Force Cybersecurity requirements and processes, including Platform IT

-Ability to manage complex activities on short time scales simultaneously

-BA or BS degree in Cybersecurity or a related field


Clearance:

Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; Secret clearance is required.
