Cybersecurity Analyst, Senior

Key Role:

Apply knowledge of Cybersecurity engineering services to conceptualize, design, and build secure Cloud solutions, including applications, systems, architectures, and infrastructure, ensuring operational viability and efficiency. Contribute to the design of innovative integration for Cybersecurity toolsets to enable more automated discovery, remediation, and alerting of network and device vulnerabilities, as a means of improving the security posture, while reducing manpower requirements. Evaluate enhancements to Cloud environments against applicable Risk Management Framework (RMF) controls and DoD Security Technical Implementation Guidance (STIG) requirements. Develop Cybersecurity concept of operations documents for Amazon Web Services, operating within Cloud environments in alignment with existing RMF accreditation packages. Provide oversight to others performing eMASS or Xacta data entry to enable achievement of the organization’s Assessment and Authorization (A&A) objectives. Act as leader to guide the accreditation activities of large programs or projects that affect the organizations long-term goals and objectives. 

Basic Qualifications:

-8+ years of experience with the design, engineering, installation, testing, operation, or maintenance of IT systems

-5 years of experience with the security of IT systems or information

-Experience in working with Cloud technologies, including Infrastructure as a Service

-Knowledge of secure IT architecture and computing hardware and software

-Knowledge of DoD A&A processes, activities, standards, and available analytic tools

-Knowledge of terminology, processes, and regulations applicable to IT system assessment and authorization for the RMF

-TS/SCI clearance

-BA or BS degree

-DoD Directive 8570 or 8140 series Certification requirements to serve as Level III Information Assurance Manager

Additional Qualifications:

-Experience with supervising, training, and mentoring Cybersecurity staff

-Experience with and training in Amazon Web Services (AWS)

-Experience with RHEL and Windows system administration

-Experience with US Army, DoD, or IC Information Assurance (IA) in Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO) or Information Assurance Manager (IAM) roles

-Experience with Certification and Accreditation (C&A) of Cloud technologies and systems, under frameworks including National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) Special Publication (SP) 800-Series, DoD Risk Management Framework (RMF), and Intelligence Community Directive (ICD) 503

-Experience with planning and executing technical studies and reports for computer systems and computer networks

-Knowledge of terminology and federal regulations applicable to specification, development, acquisition, and maintenance of IT systems

-Ability to translate and communicate concepts to technical implementers and non-technical decision makers clearly and completely with minimal preparation

-IT, Service, and Security Certification, including Security+ or Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH) preferred
