Cybersecurity Analyst

Key Role:

Assist with the coordination of assessment of threats and vulnerabilities through testing and evaluation activities, including network penetration testing, Web application security testing, and conducting social engineering exercises under general supervision. Capture security controls used during the requirements phase to integrate security within the process, identify key security objectives, and maximize software security while minimizing disruption to plans and schedules. Support assessments and evaluations of security vulnerabilities, develop mitigation strategies, and ensure the development of system life cycle documentation by reviewing and endorsing documentation and providing recommendations to government assessors. Ensure system vulnerabilities are tracked, categorized, and mitigated against risks and support the documentation of system vulnerabilities into automated systems and tools.

Basic Qualifications:

-Experience in working with the DoD or USAF

-Knowledge of computer systems and equivalent information security software and hardware components, network systems, databases, and information systems security safeguards

-Ability to assist with analyzing the development, implementation, and maintenance of Software Security Assurance (SSA) procedures

-Ability to perform security scans on projects to ensure there are no vulnerabilities, including Fortify, Nessus, and Retina

-Ability to obtain a security clearance

-BA or BS degree

Additional Qualifications:

-Knowledge of Risk Management Framework

-Knowledge of vulnerability research

-Ability to produce briefings and reports for a senior level audience

-Ability to develop effective working relationships that improve the quality of work products

-Ability to handle competing priorities with excellent, thorough organizational expertise

-Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills

-Active Top Secret clearance

-IAM Level 1 Certification
