Cybersecurity Analyst

Key Role:

Integrate Cyberspace operations to support JFHQ–FWD (EUCOM) mission objectives. Coordinate with Cyber organizations and maintain Situational Awareness (SA) on vulnerabilities and threats within the AoR. Capture and analyze lessons learned as a result of Cyber–attacks and analyze EUCOM and USCYBERCOM planning activities and strategic guidance to support Cyberspace operational planning. Create and disseminate technical content in support of operational and strategic Cyber threat assessments and products throughout the Combatant Command (CCMD). Review and comprehend theater Key Cyber Terrain (KCT) information flow and identify potential malicious threats and vulnerabilities. Research, analyze, and identify gaps and shortfalls related to the execution of Cyberspace defensive missions and provide recommendations to leadership.

Basic Qualifications:

-8+ years of experience with operational and technical military for planning, developing, coordinating and executing US Air Force (USAF) or other Services participation in Command, Service, Joint Chiefs of Staff (JCS), and CCMD operations

-6 years of experience as part of an AFCYBER, sister service component, or commercial network operations crew

-TS/SCI clearance

-BA or BS degree in CS, Information Security, IT, or Computer Engineering

-DoD 8570 level II Certification, including CISSP or CISM

-Completion of Undergraduate Cyber Training (UCT), Computer Defense Operations (CDO), Joint Cyberspace Analysis Course (JCAC), or Cyber Ops/Civ Fundamentals Course (COFC/CFFC)

Additional Qualifications:

-Experience with developing and deploying data driven analytics and event driven analysis

-Experience in an Air Operations Center (AOC), Operations Center (OC), or other service component at the operational level preferred

-Experience as staff at the Numbered Air Force level or above

-Experience with Cyberspace vulnerabilities analysis and DCO planning support

-Knowledge of the Joint Planning and Execution Services (JPES), Joint Operations Planning Process (JOPP), and Adaptive Planning and Execution System (APEX) or Joint Operations Planning and Execution System (JOPES)
