Cybersecurity Engineer

Key Role:

Participate in designing, engineering, integrating, implementing, testing, deploying, maintaining, reviewing and administering the infrastructure, hardware and software that are required to effectively manage the security and risk posture of the network and resources. Assist with applying the systems engineering life cycle to translate strategic Cyber objectives, technology and environmental conditions into engineering outcomes and solutions. Assist with selecting and applying processes and methodologies to meet Cyber performance objectives. Assist with configuring Cyber systems to meet user requirements. Support the acquisition of hardware and software, as needed.

Basic Qualifications:

-5+ years of experience with Cybersecurity

-Experience with information systems, program integration, Cybersecurity and system architectures, Cybersecurity engineering, and engineering analysis

-Experience with Cybersecurity programs, including security program assessments, security operations, Cyber assessments, penetration testing, vulnerability and risk management, security engineering, or security software development

-Experience with presenting and communicating to teams, executives, and clients

-Knowledge of Cybersecurity tools, methodologies, and practices

-Ability to display excellent leadership and QA associated with hardware and software asset discovery and management

-Ability to produce and contribute independently to deliverables within a short time frame in a collaborative team environment, including Cyber assessments, roadmaps, and reports

-BA or BS degree

-8570 Compliant Security Certification

Additional Qualifications:

-3 years of experience with engineering or IT

-Experience with control systems

-Experience with working with or for the U.S Navy

-Knowledge of defense acquisition

-Secret clearance
