Cybersecurity Engineer

Key Role:

Serve as a Cybersecurity engineer, providing support for IT security-related technologies and products for a fast-paced and innovative federal government client team. Implement security baselines for operating systems and applications based on DoD STIGS, CIS, or vendor guidance. Apply Cybersecurity requirements to technical project work. Analyze requirements and develop technical solutions and approaches. Perform project planning, scope definition and management, and issue resolution. Work in a highly integrated multi-contractor team environment.

Basic Qualifications:

-5+ years of experience with supporting Cybersecurity-related programs

-2+ years of experience with deploying and managing SIEM, NAC, or IPS appliances

-2+ years of experience with Continuous Diagnostics and Mitigation (CDM) tools, including BigFix, RES, Splunk, CounterACT NAC, Sailpoint, or CyberArk

-Experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS) or other Cloud providers

-Knowledge of network infrastructure and network protocols

-Knowledge of Microsoft Enterprise Solutions, including Active Directory, Group Policy, ADFS, or DNS

-Knowledge of Linux operating systems, including RedHat or CentOS

-Knowledge of Windows 10 and Windows Server 2012 R2 System Hardening

-Ability to obtain a security clearance

-BA or BS degree

Additional Qualifications:

-Experience with QRadar SIEM, Forescout CounterACT, Cisco ISE, and Cisco FirePOWER IPS

-Experience in working with Regular Expressions and scripting, including Python, PowerShell, Bash shell scripting, or Windows batch scripting

-Experience with creating content, including rules and custom field parsers for security appliances, such as SIEM, IPS, or NAC

-Experience with SQL and Oracle databases and performing vulnerability and compliance scans for them

-Experience with network and system virtualization, including Virtual Desktop, VMware, and Citrix

-Experience with Web Application Firewalls (WAF)

-Experience with Government Cloud Providers, including GovCloud on AWS

-Experience with Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) and HSPD-12

-Experience with security baselines for operating systems and applications based on DoD STIGS, CIS, or vendor guidance  

-CISSP, CISM, SABSA, or GIAC Certification
